Jean W. Kline, 86, of Waverly, NY passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014 at Robert Packer Hospital. She was born on August 18, 1927 in Athens, PA the daughter of the late Pascal and Fern Eddy Williams. Jean was a 1945 graduate of Athens High School. She was a member of the Barton United Methodist Church, started the Widow’s Club at the church, and was a member of the Ladies Church Auxiliary. Jean was a great cook and baker. Jean, with her husband, Norman, co-owned and operated their dairy farm in East Smithfield. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and doing puzzles and crossword puzzles. Jean adored her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and treasured time spent with them. She was always appreciative of the wonderful care she received by the Staff at ElderWood at Tioga. Jean is predeceased by her husband Norman Kline and brother Ralph Williams. She is survived by her children Holly and Richard Kithcart of Grassflat, PA, Norman and Ruth Kline of Monroeton, PA, Linda and Mark Doane of Barton, N Y, Doreen Kline of Ithaca, NY, Tracy and Jeanne Kline of Robinson, TX, and Bert and Michele Kline of Owego, NY, 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, sister and brother-in-law Estella and Louis Foster of Loxahatchee, FL, sister-in-law Sandy Williams of Sayre, PA, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 11am at the Barton United Methodist Church, 511 Old Barton Road, Barton, NY with the Rev. Anne Bey Canfield officiating. The family is being assisted by Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA. Burial will be at Bradford County Memorial Park, Luthers Mills, PA at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made in Jean’s memory to: Barton United Methodist Church, P.O.
