Judson M. Shepherd, 21 months, of Lockwood, NY passed away Friday, May 16, 2014 at Bloomberg Children’s Center at John Hopkins Hospital, Baltimore, MD after a courageous battle with AL Leukemia. He was born on August 9, 2012 in Sayre, PA, the son of Brandon Shepherd and Rhea Chacona. Judson enjoyed Thomas the Train, his animals Mila and Kitty, loved wagon rides, bubbles, stickers, swinging, and Mickey Mouse. He is predeceased by his paternal great-grandparents Bernetta Minier and James and Doris Vondracek, maternal great-great-grandparents Jean Lattimer, John Driesbaugh, and Nicholas Chacona. Judson is survived by his parents Brandon and Rhea Shepherd of Lockwood, NY, Maternal grandparents Tammy and Bobby Peppard of Lockwood, NY, and Nicholas Chacona of Towanda, PA, maternal great-grandparents Pat and Sandy Lattimer of Towanda, PA, maternal great-grandmother JoAnn Chacona of Towanda, PA, maternal great-great-grandmother Ozzie Chacona of Sayre, PA, paternal grandparents Vic and Tammy Shepherd of Athens, PA, paternal great grandfather George Minier of Athens, PA, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Friends and family may call on Monday, May19, 2014 from 3pm-5pm at the Waverly United Methodist Church, 158 Chemung Street, Waverly, NY. A Memorial Service will follow at the church at 5pm with the Rev. Anne Bey Canfield officiating. To honor Judson’s memory, the family requests that orange or bright colors be worn for the service.
