Wayne H. Leonard, 57, of Athens, PA passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014 at home with his family by his side following a brief illness. He was born on April 5, 1957 in Sayre, PA, the son of William R. and Jean Templeton Leonard. Wayne was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving from 1975-1979. He was employed with Tioga Downs as an Electrician. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and riding motorcycles. Wayne was a family man and the love of his life was his family. He is preceded in death by his dad William R. Leonard in 2010 and father-in-law Duane Travis in 1995. Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 25 years Debbie at home, children Calista, Caleb, Abrianna, and Bradly Leonard all of Athens, PA, mother Jean Leonard of Athens, PA, sister Sally Brungart of Liverpool, PA, sister and brother-in-law Deb and John Northrup of Athens Twp., PA, mother-in-law Elsie Travis of Towanda, PA, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Lori and Andy Watkins of Millport, NY, brother-in-law John Johnson of LeRaysville, PA, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family are invited to A Celebration of Life Gathering on Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 1pm to 4pm at the V.F.W. #1536, 932 West Lockhart Street, Sayre, PA. The family is being assisted by Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Bradford County Memorial Park, Luthers Mills, PA.
