Norman Allen Bracken Sr. 76 of Fortson GA. formerly of Sayre PA passed at his home on June 26, 2014 with his family. Mr. Bracken was born on July 16, 1937 in Waverly NY. He worked 30 years for Ingersoll Rand and he was a security officer with U.S. Security. He was a long standing member of Athens Fire Dept. Norman was well known for his love of Bluegrass and Country music. He is survived by his wife Patricia Bracken, his children Debra Mitro, Patricia Platt, Nicole Bracken, Robert Rice, Jessica and Adam St Amour, Makayla and Maranda Lane; his sister Juliabell Dolitz, several grandchildren and great grandchildren and a very special grandson William Burke of SC, a special friend of the family and adopted mother- in-law Ethel Stokes; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Bracken is preceded in death by his first wife of 54 years Grace Bracken, his son Norman Jr., his parents George Sr. and Vera Merrill Bracken; brothers George Jr, Martin and Earl Bracken and sister Vera Bracken Paris A Memorial Benefit and Concert will be held at Keystone Manor, 905 N. Elmer Ave., Sayre, PA on July 13, 2014 from 2-6 PM. Graveside Services will be held at 1 PM at Tioga Point Cemetery, 803 North Main Street, Athens, PA on July 14, 2014.
