Margareta "Peggy" Greta Pike, 94, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre. She was born on February 21, 1920 in Germany, the daughter of the late Peter and Katherine Shots Eckstein. Peggy moved to the United States in the late 1940's after becoming the German War Bride of Frank Pike. She met him while Frank was stationed in Germany during World War II. She was employed for 10 years at Williamsport Welding Factory where they resided. They then moved to Athens where Frank began his employment with Ingersoll Rand. Peggy became a stay at home wife and mom after their move to Athens. She is predeceased by her husband Frank Pike, July 31, 1997, her daughter Carol Pike, December 13, 2009, and two sisters. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 11am at Tioga Point Cemetery, 803 North Main Street, Athens, PA with the Rev. Linda Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
