Eleanor June Casselbury Harris, 77, of Athens, PA, passed away on Friday, August 15, 2014 at home with her loved ones by her side. She was born on June 19, 1937 in Towanda, PA the daughter of the late Leonard and Katherine Bullock Casselbury. Eleanor was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was an avid crafter doing quilting, needlework, and crocheting projects for her family and friends. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. Eleanor loved to sing. She and her husband Robert enjoyed traveling all over the United States and overseas prior to his passing. Christmas was Eleanor's favorite holiday, cooking and baking and spending that time with family and friends. Recently, Eleanor had ventured into the tech world by purchasing a tablet which she was able to keep up with family and friends and also enjoyed playing games as well. She is predeceased by her husband of 38 years Robert Harris in 1994, sons Robert Harris, Jr. and Mark Harris, sister Joyce Kriner, brother and sister-in-law James and Louise Casselbury, son-in-law Stan Swarthout, brother-in-law Alfred Kowalek, mother-in-law and father-in-law Hazel Johnson and Mark Harris, brothers-in-law Joe Strange, Freemen Smith, and Ed Bowmen, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Arlene and Fred Wheeler. Eleanor is survived by her children Ellen Trafzer of Appalachin, NY Barbara and Terry Teeter of Elmira, NY, Michael Harris of Athens, PA, Cynthia and Rusty Jordan of Waverly, NY, and Nancy Swarthout of Horseheads, NY, 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, sister Betty Kowalek, brother and sister-in-law Richard and Barbara Casselbury, sisters-in-law Pearl Strange, Mary Smith, and Jean Bowmen, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Joyce and Ronald Geiger, and Helen and Harold Wakely, brother-in-law Ernie Kriner, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family and Friends may call on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 from 6pm-8pm and Wednesday, August 20, 2014 from 10am-11am at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 11am at the funeral home with the Rev. Edward Mann officiating. Burial will be Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
