Bessie L. Crow Bidwell of VanEtten, NY went to receive her heavenly reward on Sunday morning, August 17, 2014. She was born October 14, 1929 in Trapp, MD, the daughter of Harry L. and Lena Mae Crow. Bessie was married to the late Rev. Billie B. Bidwell on August 31, 1951. She was a graduate of Allentown Bible College, earning her bachelor's degree in theology in 1951. She assisted her husband in pastoring 9 churches during their 40 years of ministry with the Pilgrim Holiness Church of NY, retiring in 2002. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Rev. Billie Bidwell in 2011, sisters: Susie Haddaway, Alva Allen, Esther Dunham and brothers Wilson Crow, Irvin Crow, and Lester Crow. Bessie is survived by three children and their spouses: Doug and Delphine Bidwell of Ulster, PA, Joyce and Tom Lantz of Gettysburg, PA and Sue and Ken Lantz of Barton, NY; eight grandchildren: Michael Bidwell and (fiancé Kim Rossi), Stephanie (William)King, Merrilee (Daniel) Thomas, Scott Lantz, Regina (General) McKenzie and Janel, Breanna and Kody Lantz; eight great-grandchildren Christine Rossi, Alexandria Pickering, Willie, Samantha, and Emily King, Lani Thomas, and Gabrielle and Zyia McKenzie; one sister Anna Rosalie Lecates, numerous nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call on Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Pilgrim Holiness Church, 701 S. Wilbur Ave., Sayre, PA. Funeral services will be immediately following at 1 PM with Rev. John Musser officiating. Burial will be in the Tioga Point Cemetery.
