Obituary of Othar E. Peel
Othar ("Beanie") Eugene Peel, 69, of Sayre, PA formerly of Phoenixville, passed away after a lengthy illness on Wednesday, August 28, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his loved ones.
Born on February 24, 1945 in Marsteller, PA, he was the son of the late Earl and Mary (Corson) Peel.
Mr. Peel was employed with Monsey Products, Kimberton, PA, retiring after 30 years of faithful service. He was a life member of West End Fire Company, Phoenixville, Valley Forge Fire Co., Valley Forge, PA and also a member of the Kimberton Fish and Game Association. Mr. Peel enjoyed hunting and fishing. After his retirement, he loved spending time watching the wildlife from his backyard.
Mr. Peel is predeceased by his beloved mother-in-law & dear friend Alice Boston, brothers Harold, William and David, and sister Margaret Hovanec.
Surviving are his wife Donna (Boston) Peel of Sayre, PA, daughters Dawn (Jeff) Griffey of Mullica Hill, NJ, Judy (Kevin) Bergmaier of Wayne, PA, son Karl Titus of Owego, NY. Grandchildren Tara, Tai, Vanessa, David, Amber; great-grandchildren Gianna, Eirelynd and Alyssa; sisters Edna Brancaleoni of Phoenixville, PA, Eleanor Samatis of Ambler, PA, Stella Sobach of Dubois, PA and Helen Stevens of Green Lane, PA, and many nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family is being assisted by Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.
Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
