Alan B. Carnrike, 42, of Sayre, PA passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 3, 2014. Alan was born on July 31, 1972 in Sayre, PA the son of Joseph and Genevieve Platt Carnrike. Alan owned and operated Blaine Home Health Care Supplies for years. Alan was known for being a handy man and being a tinker man. He did lawn care and landscaping for the past few years. Alan was known for being a fun and loving guy with his family and friends. He also would help anyone that was in need at any time. He loved stock car racing, sprint racing, and motorcycle racing which he enjoyed doing with his brother. Most of all, Alan loved the time he spent with family and friends, especially time spent with his children. He is predeceased by his maternal grandparents Floyd and Caroline Platt, paternal grandparents Alta and Buster Carnrike, step-father Richard Babcock, and his best friend and niece Jessica Carnrike. Alan is survived by his wife Laura Gregory Carnrike, children Shasta Peters, Blaine Carnrike, Gage Carnrike, Travis Carnrike, and Leah Carnrike, father Joseph L. Carnrike, mother Genevieve Babcock, siblings and their spouses Joseph and Sue Carnrike, Jr., Victor and Audrey Carnrike, Joyce and Brian Newman, Glen and Lisa Carnrike, Jay Carnrike, and Jackie and Brian Wolcott, half siblings Julie Carnrike, John Carnrike, Jody Carnrike, and Mike Carnrike, step brothers and and their spouses Rick Babcock, and Ron and pat Babcock, step-sisters and their spouses Sandy and Randy Talada, Pam Babcock, and Tammy Babcock, mothers of his children Melissa Bashore and Jesse Peters, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and his close friend Jamie Miller. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 7pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA with the Rev. John Musser and the Rev. William Wells co-officiating. Burial will be in at the convenience of the family.
