Sandra J. Hoffman, 74, of Sayre, PA passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Towanda Skilled Nursing. She was born on September 17, 1939 in Towanda, PA the daughter of the late Waring and Laura F. Brace Hoffman. Sandra was a graduate of the Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in Philadelphia. She was the Nursing Supervisor of the Operating Room for many years. Sandra enjoyed going to the Red Hatters Group activities. She attended the Athens Wesleyan Church. Sandra is survived by her Aunt Jane Merrill of Athens, PA, cousins Stephen and Carol Merrill of Litchfield, PA, Frank and Linda Merrill of Buies Creek, NC, Gail and David Arnold of Athens, PA, Alden and Bonnie Chapman of Sayre, PA, Nancy Klimas of Tunkhannock, PA, Alma and Scott Custer of Tunkhannock, PA, Barb and David Christ of Tunkhannock, PA, and Patty Mead of Tunkhannock, PA. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 from 3pm-4pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at the funeral home at 4pm with the Rev. David Larson officiating. Burial will be in Bradford County Memorial Park at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made in Sandra's memory to a charity of one's choice.
