David E. Bashore, 57, of Barton, NY passed away at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 following an extended illness. He was born on January 4, 1957 in Sayre, PA, the son of the late David E. and Shirley Vanderpool Bashore. David was a Veteran of the Navy, serving during the Vietnam Conflict. He was employed with Toshiba, Elmira, NY for 14 years until the business closed. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was well known for the pranks he pulled on family and friends. David enjoyed fishing, hunting, and trapping. David avidly watched TV, especially WWE Wrestling. He spent hours on Facebook chatting back and forth with friends and reconnecting with old friends. He loved his dogs, Buddy and Ava. He is predeceased by his first wife Margaret Evans Bashore and brother-in-law Gary Stillman. David is survived by his wife of 7 years Tammy at home, children Melissa and Scott Lane of Sayre, PA, David E., Bashore, Jr. and Lauren Campbell of Sayre, Pa, and Tanya Raymond and Miguel Cosme of Binghamton, NY, grandchildren Blaine and Gage Carnrike, Ella Bashore, and Avah and Joaquin Cosme, siblings and in-laws Richard and Yvonne Bashore of Sayre, PA, siblings Barbara Stillman of Sayre, PA, and Tom Bashore of Barton, NY, special aunts and spouses Connie Campbell and Thomas Miller of Athens, PA, and Bernard and Emma Evans of Athens, PA, several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends Robert Barry, Kenny Acla, and Bill Conrad. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 6pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made in David's memory to: Jay E.
