Alfred R. Huff, 89, of Dushore, PA passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at the Muncy Valley Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit. He was born on the family farm May 26, 1925 in East Smithfield Township, PA the son of the late Raymond and Margaret (Harris) Huff, which he later owned and operated. Alfred was a graduate of Smithfield High School in 1943. He was a member of the Millview Wesleyan Church. Alfred was employed at DHIA as a milk tester for Bradford County Extension, Farm Credit Bureau as a loan officer in Towanda, PA and Flemington, NJ, he was the research farm manager for Squibb Pharmaceuticals in Cream Ridge, NJ, he was the supervisor of buildings and grounds at Presbyterian Retirement Homes in Hightstown, NJ, and Proprietor of the Millview Motel in Forksville, PA. He is predeceased by his wife Alice M. Huff, brother George Huff, sisters Barbara Stowell and Ellen Keller. Alfred is survived by his children Deborah and Andrew McCabe of Manahawkin, NJ, Frank and Marilyn Huff of Montoursville, PA, William and Sylvia Huff of New Egypt, NJ, Ethel "Dee" and Robert Tarcza of Laporte, PA, Stephen Huff of Puyallup, WA, Rebecca Steele of Beverly, NJ, and Darrell Huff and fiancé Laura Bowers of Stewartsville, NJ; 16 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Friends and family may call on Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 10am-11am with an 11am service to follow at the Millview Wesleyan Church, 6675 Route 87, Forksville, PA 18616 with Pastor William Hargenrader, Pastor Mathew Pickering, and Pastor Eric Ferguson officiating. The family is being assisted by Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA. Burial will be at the Union Cemetery in East Smithfield, PA at the convenience of the family.
