Juanita M. Johnson, 75, of Athens, PA passed away Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. She was born on July 1, 1939 in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Orville F. and Loretta B. Phillips Francisco. Juanita was a huge Atlanta Braves fan. She enjoyed Bingo, the casinos, traveling, spending time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends, and she also enjoyed her past experiences volunteering at the hospital. She enjoyed shopping and vacations with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She really enjoyed all of the holidays and spending it with her loved ones. She is predeceased by her parents, her husband Gerald W. Johnson, sister Arlene and Arnold Franks, brother Orville Francisco, nephew Brian Eddy and niece Chris Bourff. She is survived by her children Susan Johnson, East Smithfield, PA, Gerald Johnson, Jr., East Smithfield, PA and Charles and Rita Johnson, Edinburg, VA; grandchildren Deb McDermott, Athens, PA, Christy McDermott, Milan, PA, Jessica McDermott and fiancé Randy Evans, Wysox, PA, Troy Harwood, Cedar Rapids, IA, Amy Johnson, Edinburg, VA, and Aaron Johnson and fiancé Cherokee Crothers, Edinburg, VA; great grandchildren Alexis McDermott, Emma Peters, Jade Wood, Mason Evans, Nate Evans, Autumn Harwood, and Hailey Rose; sister Lorraine Francisco, Tucson, AZ and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family may call Wednesday, January 21, 2015 from 4-6pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at 6pm at the funeral home with Rev. Stan Gill of the East Smithfield Federated Church officiating. Burial will be in the Big Pond Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
