Rose Marie Bottone, 83, of Towanda, PA formerly of South Waverly, PA passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Elderwood Healthcare Facility, Waverly, NY. She was born July 12, 1931 in South Waverly, PA the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Kinego Bottone. Rose Marie was a graduate of Waverly High School. She was employed at the Grand Union Warehouse for over 40 years. She was a member of the former St. John Catholic Church in South Waverly, PA. She is predeceased by her brothers Joseph Bottone, Frank Bottone, Jr., and Louis Bottone. Rose Marie is survived by sisters Norma Bottone of Strongsville, OH and Mary Frances Rihbany, Fairfield, CT, nieces and nephews Frank Bottone of Sayre, PA, Pamela Mansueti of Raleigh, NC, Ann Place of Waverly, N Y, Joseph Bottone of Horseheads, NY, Sandra Bottone of Lancaster, PA, Edward Bottone of Lake Wales, FL, and James Rihbany of Boston, MA, and a number of great-nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 10am at the Catholic Community of Epiphany, 304 South Elmer Avenue, Sayre, PA. Friends will be received at the church one hour prior to the service. The family is being assisted by Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Waverly,NY at the convenience of the family.
