Anne Belcher, 76, of Sayre, PA passed away on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Robert Packer Hospital following a brief illness. She was born on June 1, 1938 in Albany, NY the daughter of the late Charles and Lovina Bower. Anne was a member of the First Church of God, Sayre. She worked as a Crossing Guard for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She is predeceased by her son Jeffrey Belcher, daughter Lisa Mae Belcher, and brother Richard VanAuken. Anne is survived by her husband of 57 years Paul Edward Belcher at home, children Michael and Karen Cannavino of Wysox, PA, Bruce and Jennine Belcher of Sayre, PA, Paul and Sheron Belcher of Huntsville, AL, Pam Shabazian of Waverly, NY, Sherry and John Gilliland, MO, and Judy and William Aston of Elmira, NY, 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, sister Judy Phelps of Sayre, PA, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family may call on Monday, February 2, 2015 from 12pm-2pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral services will follow at 2pm at the funeral home with the Rev. Syd McCrorey of First Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
