Judith P. "Judy" Featherson Porter, 73, of Sayre, PA passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015 following a brief illness. She was born on August 17, 1941 in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late Stanley and Dorothy Talada Augustine. Judy loved spending time with her family and friends. She worked as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Judy was well known for helping others in need. She enjoyed crocheting and taking care of her horses. She was an avid hunter, and enjoyed spending time at the lake. Judy was a Girl Scout Leader and a member of the South Waverly Borough Council. She especially loved her red Corvette. Judy is survived by husband of 29 years Harold Porter at home, children Tory and Melanie Featherson of Sayre, PA, Dawn and Jeff Mattison of Waverly, NY, Jona and Randy Donovan of South Waverly, PA, Eric and Wendy Featherson of Waverly, NY, Cherie and Brian Mallynn of Santa Fe, TX, and Kimberly and Tom Bruinsma of Rochester, NY, grandchildren Nicole, Chatney, Felicia, Mckhenna, Nathaniel, Keesha, Jason, Justin, Jared, Cody, Breanna, Evan, Emma, Adeline, and Benjamin, great-grandchildren Ameilia, Sydney, Cecilia, and Jared, Jr., brother and sister-in-law Stanley "Bud" and Irene Augustine of Interlaken, NY, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family may call on Friday, February 6, 2015 from 2pm-4pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral services will follow at 4pm at the funeral home with the Rev. James Donahoo officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Waverly, NY at a later date.
