Geraldine S. "Gerry" Lain, 91, of Ulster, PA passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015 following an extended illness. She was born on December 24, 1923 in Ulster, PA the daughter of the late Howard and Grace Miller. Gerry was a member of the Rebekah's Lodge, where she served as the Deputy President. She enjoyed knitting and loved to cook for her family, especially her grandchildren. Gerry was the Cook at the Ulster School and then Athens High School. She opened and managed numerous restaurants as a cook over the years. She is predeceased by her husbands Russell Seymour and Richard Lain, brother Arthur and sister Eleanor. Gerry is survived by her children Rex and Lisa Seymour of Ulster, PA and Dale Seyour of St. Petersburg, FL, grandchildren Justin and Casey Miller of St. Petersburg, FL, Candice Seymour of Long Island, NY, and Katelyn and Adam Blinn of Candor, NY, and great-grandson Dante Blinn of Candor, NY. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 11am at the East Smithfield Methodist Church, Church Street, East Smithfield, PA with Lay Pastor Vern Jackson officiating. The family is being assisted by Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
