Linda L. Mummert, 70, of Athens, PA passed away Friday, March 13, 2015 at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. She was born on October 6, 1944 in York, PA the daughter of the late Charles and Miriam Kessler Nace. Linda taught Sunday school at St. Paul’s Dubs United Church of Christ in Hanover, PA. She worked at Ugite Gas, Inc. in York, PA for 4 years, sold Avon for a couple of years and she enjoyed reading and taking care of her children and grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents; sister Lorna M. Nace and stepmother Esther Nace. She is survived by her husband Larry of 49 years at home; children Scott and Lisa Mummert of Hanover, PA, Jennifer and Scott Johnson of Buffalo, NY, Hallie Mummert of Voorhees, NJ, Christopher and Sandie Mummert of Athens, PA and Alicia Mummert of Lexington, SC; grandchildren Cody and Kyle Mummert, Kristian, Angelyn, and Michaela Johnson, Kassandra and Kaidon Winters, and Mallory Mummert; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 from 1-3:00pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. A Memorial Service will follow at the funeral home at 3:00pm. Burial will be in the Marburg Memorial Gardens; in the Garden of Praying Hands at the convenience of the family.
