Dear Johnston Family,
I'm so sorry to have learned about Art's passing. It always leaves such a deep void in our hearts when we loose a dear loved one due to death and what makes it difficult at times is we have a hard time accepting that they are gone. The pain and sadness we feel is also felt by our loving Creator and life giver, Jehovah God, and he asks us at 1Peter 5:7 to throw all our anxiety on him because he cares for us. Can you ever imagine being with Art again in the future? Well, our loving Creator promises to bring back our dead loved ones through the resurrection hope in the Christ (John 5:28,29). Then all those tears of sadness will be turned into tears of joy. What a wonderful time that will be for you all. I do hope these promises from our loving God brings some comfort for you as you deal with your loss.

The Johnstons lived across the street from my Grandmother so when I was younger I would see Art quite a bit. He always had time to talk to me and always made me laugh. He was great man that I was lucky to have had the chance to get to see. Im truly sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Art was a good man and one I held a great deal of respect for growing up...He was a good man and a great father, as evidenced by his sons. I wish I could be there to support Andy and his family, but I did not know of his passing until Tuesday. I send my sincere condolences to Andy, Pam and the entire Johnston family...Art will surely be missed.
Peace,
Peter "Tate' Tetreault

We were deeply saddened to hear of Art's passing. He was truly one of a kind. He loved being around his family, and he loved having fun. It was a joy to watch him drop a witty remark or a joke on some unsuspecting passerby. We always enjoyed his Velcro farm story. Our condolences. Art will be missed.

Andy, Chris, & Greg. We are saddened to learn about Art's death. I was lucky to attend high
school with Art, Bob, & Larry. Larry graduated the year after we three.
I don't remember Art's expertise with jokes until we all had families of our own. Never a phone
call was complete until three or four humorous lines came from him. I will miss this.
Our daughter Gail, always said Art was her favorite "Buholtz Clan" person. He called her a sweet name and gave her the impression she was special. The last time we saw Art was at Larry's Arlington Memorial.
Again, our condolences regarding Art. He and BJ were extra special! You boys grew up at
63 Brook Road, just like my sister Carol and I did. Long Meadow was a good place to live.
I hope you have many good memories of that house and Pittsford as I do.
God bless the Art Johnston family tree. The grand and great grandchildren were his pride as
well as you three boys.
Sincerely, Nancy Lang (& Bud)

I was so sorry to hear about Art's passing. Art was a longtime friend of my parents and the Gordon family. He was so kind and thoughtful, and very entertaining - we had a lot of laughs with Art!! I am sure he is making Barb and others laugh in a better place above. He will certainly be missed here. Rest in peace, Art. And, my thoughts and prayers to your wonderful family.

Karen and I were so sad to hear of Art's passing. He was a one of kind gentlemen and we always liked seeing him and spending time with him when we could. He always had a joke and was in great spirits all the time. He was a joy to be around. I will always remember his awesome homemade beef jerky too! Take solace in knowing that he was so well thought of and touched so many lives with a smile and laughter. We're happy that he has a such a large and loving family to cherish his memory. Rest in peace Art.

Art's smile, good nature and sense of humor will live on in my heart and memory. He befriended me when I entered high school. I was a new kid off the farm. He lit up the room just by being there. We will miss you Art.
May you rest in peace. Save a place for the rest of us.
