Betty Jane Bickham, 65, of Sayre, PA passed away on Monday, March 23, 2015 with her family at her side. Betty fought a long hard battle with cancer with the support of her family. Betty was born on September 21, 1949 in Sayre, PA the daughter of late John H. Brown and Catherine C. Allen. She loved to crochet and enjoyed listening to country music. Betty loved to make people smile. Her favorite thing to do was spend time with her grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, husband Robert Bickham, Sr., daughter Tracy Lynn Brown, grandson Memphis Lee Barnes, and sisters Mona Lee Parks and Rose Mary Manuel. Betty is survived by her children Lee Vanderpool of Athens, PA, Robert Bickham, Jr. of Sayre, PA, Faith and Michael VanDyke of Milan, PA, Kathryn and Brian Barnes of Gillett, PA step-daughter SueAnn Corter, Rome, PA and grandson/son Dakota Stone, Sayre, PA; 14 grandchildren; siblings Jack, Milton, and Bucky Brown; several aunts and uncles and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family may call on Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 6-8:00pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main, Athens, PA. Funeral services will follow at 8:00pm at the funeral home with Rev. Linda Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Bentley Creek cemetery in Bentley Creek, PA at the convenience of the family.
