Obituary of Joseph A. Bogutski

Joseph A. Bogutski, 90, of Athens, PA passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015 at Towanda Skilled Unit following an extended illness. He was born on December 14, 1924 in Wilkes-Barre, PA the son of the late William and Anna Yonkoski Bogutski. Joseph was a Veteran of the US Navy. He was employed with the Ingersoll Rand, Athens for 30 years before retiring. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Joseph was a member of the American Legion, VFW Post #1536, and the National Rifle Association. He is predeceased by his wife Sharlene M. Kindred Bogutski, son Tommy Bogutski, and sister Pearl Hadala. Joseph is survived by his daughter Barbara Bean of Athens, PA, grandchildren Cindy Spezialetti of Waverly, NY, David Bean of Athens, PA, and Brian and Mary Bean of Athens, PA, great-grandchildren Alicia Spezialetti of Fairfax, VA, Dominic Spezialetti of Waverly, NY, Chad and Samantha Bean of Lemoore, CA, and Tonya Bean of Fort Stewart, GA, great-great granddaughter Lauren Bean of Lemoore, CA, brothers Charles Bogutski of Crockett, TX and William Bogutski of Swoyerville, PA, and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call on Thursday, April 2, 2015 from 12pm-1pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at 1pm at the funeral home with the Rev. Vincent Langan officiating. Burial will be in Bradford County Memorial Park, Luthers Mills, PA.
