Nancy A. Dykins, 79, of Waverly, NY passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at following an extended illness. She was born on April 4, 1936 in Sayre, PA the daughter of the late Edward and Maie Owen. Nancy was the manager of Sugar Creek Convenience Store for over 20 years. She was a Lifetime Member of the Waverly Bowling Association and a member of the Bowling Hall of Fame. Nancy was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary Post #492. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Nancy enjoyed spending her time doing puzzles and word searches with her friends at Springview Manor. Nancy was an example of someone with a Heart of Gold. She is predeceased by her brother Alvin Owen, sister-in-law Dorothy Owen, brother and sister-in-law Jack and Evelyn Owen, brother Harry Owen, sister and brother–in-law Marylin and Happy Rogers, and ex-husband Lyle Dykins. Nancy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Charles and Kristan Dykins of Sayre, PA, grandchildren Holly, Annamarie, and Cloe Dykins, and several nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call on Monday, April 27, 2015 from 5pm-7pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. A Memorial Service will follow at the funeral home at 7pm with Rev. Robert Flatt officiating.
