Obituary of Joseph H. Hickok
Joseph H. Hickok, 89, of Inwood, WV, formerly of Athens, PA passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2015 at Canterbury Center following an extended illness with his family by his side.
He was born on December 1, 1925 in Towanda, PA the son of the late Hiram and Rachel Allen Hickok.
Joseph was a Veteran of the US Navy, serving during WWII and during the Korean Conflict. He was a Machinist at Ingersoll Rand, Athens, prior to retiring. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a devoted Yankees and Steelers fan.
He is predeceased by his son Joseph Kenneth Hickok, sister Mary Cole, and brother William L. Hickok.
Joseph is survived by his wife of 51 years Judy D. Randall Hickok at home, son and daughter-in-law William and Anna Hickok of Hernando, FL, daughters and sons-in-law Mary and Greg Cox of Inwood, WV, and Linda and Dennis Bergstrom of Sparks, NV, grandchildren Chris, Nicholas, Bryan, and Curtis Whitmer, Hannah Mahlbacher, Jared, Zachary, and Trevor Hickok, Brad and Danielle Pickett, Douglas Bergstrom, Susan Bergstrom, and Sandra Bergstrom, great-grandchildren Alex and Colton Whitmer, and Camdyn Sibole, sister Carol Mitchell of Houston, TX, sister-in-law Phyllis Hickok of Florence, KY, brother-in-law Miles and Phyllis Randall, sister-in-law Bonnie VanBuren, sister-in-law Bernice Randall, brother-in-law Clarence and Barbara Randall, sister-in-law June Atherton, and brother-in-law Myron and Beverly Randall; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends and family may call on Friday, April 24, 2015 from 11pm-1:00pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at the funeral home at 1pm with Rev. Linda Rogers officiating.
Burial will be in the Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
