Freda M. Hibbard, 87, of Milan, PA passed away May 28, 2015 following an extended illness. Freda was born November 6, 1927 in Wysox, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Jonathan Vanderpool and Della Swingle. Freda was a waitress for 30+ years in the valley area. She loved to bake and cook. She enjoyed crocheting. Freda also love to spend time with her grandchildren. Freda is predeceased by her sons Donald W. Garey Jr. and Rodney D. Hibbard. Freda is survived by her husband Benjamin D. Hibbard of 64 years; her son Bernard and Lori Hibbard of Athens, PA, daughter Wanda Maxwell and fiancé Gary Wood of Milan, PA; grandchildren Jason, Stacey and Danielle Garey, Scott, Jared, and Jamie Hibbard, Mason and Ariel Hibbard; great grandchildren Trevor, Brandon and Jaelyn Garey, Dustin Brady, Kadin, Kendrick, Kamren and Deonna Garey, Tristin and Braxton Hibbard, Bohdi and Lilian Hibbard, Dylan Byrd, Jo, Toki, and Coty Labrum and Cloverlyn Hibbard, sisters Emma Evans of Athens, PA and Connie Campbell of Sayre, PA. Friends and Family may call on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 12pm to 1pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. A memorial service will follow at 1:00pm at funeral home with Rev. Linda Rogers officiating. Burial will be in the Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
