Obituary of Frank E. Beeman

FRANK E BEEMAN, age 84, from Beverly Hills, FL and formerly Athens, PA, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, June 16, under the loving care of Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast. Born on June 6, 1931 in Sayre, PA to Stanley and Ethel Rockefeller Beeman, Frank was the youngest of 10 children His family owned a lumber mill in Rummerfield, PA for many years and Frank worked there until joining the Navy in 1950. Upon his discharge from the Navy, Frank joined the Army Reserves and served 10.5 years. After meeting and marrying his life's greatest love in 1953, Frank spent many years working in the heating business in Athens, PA. After retiring from Perfection Oil Co. in 1993. Frank and his wife moved to Beverly Hills, FL where he took part in many volunteer opportunities, including Fishing Club, Shuffleboard Club and Lions Club. He loved practical jokes and on many occasions could be found dressing as a walking Christmas present or driving a clown's car in a parade. He loved taking vacations, fishing, and being a Santa's helper. Most of all he loved his family and never failed to show it. He was preceded in death by both parents, all nine siblings and his son-in-law, Jim Shields. Left to cherish his loving memories are his devoted wife of 62 years, Joan Beeman, of Beverly Hills, FL, daughters Debi Shields of Homosassa, FL and Denise Moe (Steve) of Liberty, MO, son Danny Beeman of Avon, CT, grandsons, Timothy Beeman, Beverly Hills, FL, and Eric Moe, Liberty MO, granddaughters Brie Burgess (Al), Waverly, NY, Misty Austin (Mike), Athens, PA, many nieces and nephews and five great- grandchildren. The family invites you to join them in honoring Frank with a memorial service held at the Beverly Hills Community Church, Civic Circle, Beverly Hills at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2015. A Memorial Service will also be held on Monday, June 22, 2015 at 6pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA with Rev. Linda L. Rogers officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast, PO Box 641270, Beverly Hills, FL 34464.
