Jason E. Rumpff, 38, of Athens, PA passed away on July 25, 2015. He was born on June 19, 1977 in Sayre, PA the son of Abraham Johnson and Janet Rumpff. Jason was an avid reader and enjoyed Sci-Fi. He loved to collect comic books. Jason enjoyed exercising and working out. He graduated from Sayre High School in 1996. Continuing his education, he attended and graduated from Mansfield University in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice. He is predeceased by his father Abraham Johnson, maternal grandparents John and Lela Rumpff, paternal grandparents George and Leora Johnson, aunts Dawn Conkling, Mary Lou Rumpff, and Bernetta Minier, and uncles William Hickson, Donald Conkling, Gary Heeman, Joe Johnson, and David Johnson, and cousin Judson Shepherd. Jason is survived by his mother Janet Rumpff of Athens, PA, sister Emily Rumpff (Destiny Corle) of Athens, PA, aunts, uncles, cousins, and very special friends Michael Lenox and Mike Saltrinsky. Friends and family may call on Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 1pm-3pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at 3pm at the funeral home with the Rev. Glenn Mahaffey officiating. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
