Obituary of Louis J. Cannavino

Louis J. Cannavino, 58, of Sayre, PA passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on May 16, 1957 in Elmira, NY the son of the late Michael and Margaret Briggs Cannavino. Louis was a Veteran of the US Army and the Army Reserves after completing his active duty. Louis loved to cook. He worked as a manager at Pepperli's Ravioli Factory for 12 years. He enjoyed woodworking, spending time outdoors, as well as fishing. Louis was an avid reader, and he was a Stephen King fan. Louis was an active member and First Counselor to the Bishop of his church. He was predeceased by Michael and Margaret Cannavino, his sister Kelly Nauss, brother Butch Gallen, and his aunt Helen Padini. Louis is survived his wife of 5 years, to which he was sealed to for time and all eternity in the Washington DC temple in November 2012, children Charlie Cannavino of Athens, PA, Keith and Rhonda Rogers of Sayre, PA, Kathleen and Philip Feichtner of Sayre, PA, Jacqueline Mills and Michael Peterson of New Brunswick, NJ, Gina and Douglas Brown of Las Vegas, NV, Sabrina Walker of Parry Sound, Canada, Diana Walker of Parry Sound, Canada Melissa Mills of LA, CA, grandchildren Gage Cannavino, Alectra Cannavino, Khloe Rogers, Cooper Rogers, Dominic Mills, Bella Cannavino, Michael Feichtner, Gia Brown, Rion Walker, Arlene Borjas, and Julian Mills, siblings and their spouses Michael and Karen Cannavino of Towanda, PA, Jeff and Edie Cannavino of Scranton, PA, Diena and Steven Bond of DeBerry, FL, Nancy Petersen of Washington, DC, August and Jackie Gallagher of AR, Ken and Marryann Croft of SD, uncle Tom Briggs of Sayre, PA, longtime friend Bernadette Cannavino of CO, as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 11am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 605 Ann Street, Towanda, PA with Bishop Buynak officiating. A potluck luncheon will be following the service. The family is being assisted by Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. Athens, PA.
