Obituary of Ann McKean

Ann "Gizzi" McKean, 89, of Ridgebury Township, PA passed away at the Athens Health Care and Rehabilitation Services Facility on September 27, 2015 with family by her side. Ann went to be with her family and friends. Ann was born on May 25, 1926 in Paterson, NJ the daughter of the late George and Rose DeCerino Gizzi, the youngest of seven children. Ann was a homemaker, a loving wife and mother of 5. Her interest included reading, music, soap operas, knitting and cooking. Ann is preceded in death by her husband Grant S. McKean, Sr. (1988), her brothers Steve, Tony, and Johnny; sisters Molly, Mary and Fanny; brothers-in-law Carl, Hank, Fran, Ted, Paul and Sam; sisters-in-law Margaret, Ruth and Barbara; and son-in-law Larry Ostrander. Ann is survived by her children Ruth Ostrander, Grant Jr. and Debbie McKean, Mark and Cathy McKean, Rose McKean and Joseph McKean; sisters-in-law June Costanza and Mary McGrath; grandchildren Jeremy McKean, Andy Sozanski, Kevin and Audry McKean, Amy McKean, Jeff Ostrander, Seth McKean and Rainey McKean; great-grandchildren Payton Lopreste, Kendra Tucker McKean, Kenzington Ashley Woodward; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 from 6-8pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will be Thursday October 1, 2015 at the funeral home at 1pm with the Rev. James Ellis officiating. Burial will be at the Tioga Point Cemetery.
