Obituary of Susan E. Weinman

Susan Ellen McGuire Weinman, 59 years-old, died unexpectedly on Thursday, October 8, 2014 at her home in Athens, Pennsylvania. Susan was born on May 15, 1956 to Eugene and Mildred (Marie) McGuire in New Brunswick New Jersey. Known for her ease in frequent conversation with even total strangers, she always loved to hear about everyone's family. Susan possessed a contagious smile and an entertaining and sarcastic sense of humor. Her desire to help others and her consistent efforts to put the needs of others before her own will never be forgotten. Susan lived to cuddle her grandchildren and always gave too much of herself to support those she loved. One of her favorite things was having all her family home. She loved having her home filled with grandchildren. After graduating from High School and attending Clarion University she met her husband, John Weinman during her freshman year. The couple was married on March 11, 1976. Married for 39 years, Susan and John raised their 4 dear children, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Joseph, and Kevin over the years in Toms River, New Jersey and Towanda Pennsylvania, before settling in Athens, Pennsylvania. Possessing a true selfless heart Susan faithfully cared for family and friends by any means she had available. Mrs. Weinman loved to read, watch the food network, chat with family and friends and watch her grandchildren grow. Susan's passion for helping others led her to a long career as an oncology nurse with Guthrie Healthcare, at Robert Packer Hospital. Susan loved what she did and taught courses at the hospital instructing how to administer chemo.
