Obituary of Albert R. Carrington
Albert R. Carrington, 75, of Rome, PA passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Robert Packer Hospital following an extended illness.
He was born on July 11, 1940 in Sayre, PA, the son of the late Glenn and Zemma Daughtery Carrington.
Albert was a Veteran of the US Army serving with the 4th Battalion 69th Armor during the Vietnam War. He drove school bus for Northeast Bradford School District for over 35 years. Albert enjoyed going to NASCAR races, hunting, and spending time outdoors.
He is predeceased by his twin brother Arden, and brothers Edwin and Richard.
Albert is survived by his wife of 52 years Regina at home, children Randy and Theresa Carrington of Rome, PA and Dawn and Mark Cobb of Rome, PA, grandchildren Brianna, Taylor, Ryleigh, Krysten, Deacon, Jenna, Leighann, and Lynsi, great-grandchildren Savannah, Aleah, Kamden, Isaiah, and Isah, brother and sister-in-law Duane and Lois Carrington of Rome, PA, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Following Albert's wishes, there will be no visitation or service. The family is being assisted by Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.
