Beatrice Anna Ripley, 80, of Chemung, NY, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2016 at the Corning Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Corning, NY with her family by her side. She was born on January 19, 1936 in Sayre, PA the daughter of the late Willard and Jennie O’Carmer Clark. Beatrice attended Elmira Business Institute and was employed with Hardinge Brothers, Elmira Stamping Company, and 2nd Place East, prior to retiring. She enjoyed volunteering with the Red Cross. Beatrice loved traveling, especially her trips to Ireland and Scotland with the Pat Kane Band. She is predeceased by her husband Clifford Ripley, an infant son, her brothers Bruce Clark and Harold Clark, and close friend Art Robbins. Beatrice is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Steven Ripley and Tina Nagle of Chemung, NY, grandchildren Julia Ripley, Cory Ripley, Natasha Ripley, Samantha Ripley, and Crystal Ripley, sisters Marjorie Briggs of Endicott, NY and Joyce Clark of Binghamton, NY, brother Terry Clark of Wyalusing, PA, and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on February 2, 2016 from 12pm – 1pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home at 1pm with the Rev. Matt Mackivitch officiating. Burial will be in the Chemung Cemetery, Chemung, NY.
