I worked with Doris's husband Vern at Sylvania and in later years with her son Jan. My heart goes out to the entire family in Doris's passing. While I never met her. Jan shared some memories of his mom and I could see his love for her.

I have such fond memories of Aunt Doris. She was always so welcoming, happy, and loving to all. Two things come to mind as well, applesauce and goulash. One summer, my father went to their apple orchard and picked as many apples as he could, and then sat under their beautiful Maple tree and pealed them for Aunt Doris, because she had agreed to make applesauce and can it, so, we could all enjoy it all year. That was so special of her to do. She also made the best Goulash I have ever eaten to this day.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to the family. Love, Dan and Carolyn
