Letha M. Boughton, 98, of Athens, PA passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at Towanda Skilled Nursing Unit. She was born on January 18, 1914 in Sayre, PA the daughter of the late Thomas and Myra West Park. Letha was employed with Blue Swan, Remington Rand, Guthrie Clinic in Central Supply and as a Caregiver at Sayre House. She was a founding member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Athens. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, baking, and cooking but what she enjoyed most was spending time with her family. She is predeceased by her first husband Herbert Campbell, 1974 and second husband Albert E. Boughton, 1995, daughters Barbara Campbell, 1955 and Hazel Palipkonich, 2000, brothers and sisters-in-law Myron and Margaret Park and Merle and June Park, and sons-in-law John Palipkonich and Albert Williams. Letha is survived by her children Doris Williams of South Waverly, PA, Geraldine and Howard Depew of Athens, PA, William and Norma Campbell of Litchfield, PA, step-daughter Deborah and Vincent Tumbilio of Syracuse, NY, 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Marjorie Park of Mt. Pleasant, MI, special friends Frances Miner of Rome, PA and Helen Williams of Waverly, NY, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 6pm – 8pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 2pm at the Funeral Home with the Rev. James Donahoo from Sayre Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in the Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA at the convenience of the family.
