E. Dianne Wilson, 84, of Waverly, NY passed away at home on Friday, July 9, 2016 with her family by her side following a period of declining health. She was born on April 22, 1932 in Endicott, NY the daughter of the late Andrew and Jessie Chandler Capwell. Dianne graduated from Waverly High School, and Elmira College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Teaching. Dianne taught at St. James Catholic School and St. Mary Our Mother Catholic School, where she taught generations to read. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughters. She is predeceased by her brother John Capwell and sister Shirley Capwell Gross. Dianne is survived by her children Andy “Bubba” Wilson of Waverly, NY, Holly Dianne Wilson of Cary, NC, and Heather and Michael Sandford of Clearwater, FL, grandchildren Jessica Wilson, John and Lisa Durizch, Jessy Durizch and Megan Dew, Kylea Durizch and Bart Gonzales, Cody Sandford, and Ryan Wilson, great-granddaughters Marlea Durizch and Martha Durizch, brother-in-law John Gross, nieces Sherri Gross, Sheila Gelbutis, Shelley Hamilton, Phyllis Mawhirler, Gloria Cotter, Linda Alger, and Bonnie Marotz, nephews Bill Wilson and Gerry Wilson and numerous and friends. At Dianne’s request, there will be no calling hours or services. The family is being assisted by Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. in Athens, PA.
