William P. “Bill” Hubert, Sr., 62, of Athens, PA went to be with his Lord and Saviour on August 18, 2016 at his home. He was born in Scranton, PA on March 19, 1954 the son of the late Arthur and Eleanor (Smith) Hubert. Bill was a servant of the Lord who always showed God’s love to others. He was an active member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Athens, serving in many capacities including as Deacon and Sunday School Teacher. His love in life was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Bill was a family man and one who showed kindness to all and cared about others. He was loved by all those who knew him and will be missed, especially by his family. Bill was employed with the Schwan Food Company as a Route Salesman. He also enjoyed playing board games and kayaking. Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years Diane (Passmore) Hubert, formerly of East Smithfield, at home, son and daughter-in-law William P. “Bill” and Stephanie Hubert, Jr. of Waverly, NY, and daughter and fiancé Judi Hubert Babcock and Justin Correll of Sayre, PA, and his grandchildren Monica, Adam, Teddy, and Layla. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in law Ronald and Margaret Hubert of Summerfield, FL and Arthur and Janie Hubert of Spencer, NY, sisters and brothers-in-law Susan and Jeff Fisher of Albuquerque, NM and Virginia and Ken Bellows of Sayre, PA, sister Jane Hubert, loving mother and father-in-law Kingsley and Fayne Passmore of Ridgebury, PA, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family and friends may call on Monday, August 22, 2016 from 2pm-4pm at Calvary Baptist Church, 701 West Pine Street, Athens, PA. A Memorial Service will follow at the Church at 4pm with the Rev.
