Obituary of Rexford L. Paris

Rexford "Rex" L. Paris, 77, of South Waverly, PA passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 26, 2017. He was born on January 13, 1940 in Sayre, PA the son of the late Rexford A. and Mildred Carman Paris. Rex worked at PennDot for over 20 years, before retiring. He loved his family, especially his grandkids beyond measure. He was a member and Deacon of the Waverly First Baptist Church. Rex loved fishing and enjoyed working in his garden. He also enjoyed working on any type of equipment. Rex is survived by his loving wife of 58 year, Imogene, at home, son and daughter-in-law William "Bill" and Michelle Paris of Sayre, PA, granddaughter Courtney Paris and grandson Brandon Paris. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Dorothy Paris, Allan and Bonnie Paris, and Larry and Sheryl Paris, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family and friends may call on Monday, January 30, 2017 from 1pm-2pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral services will follow at 2pm at the funeral home with the Rev. Steve Dygert officiating. Burial will follow at Bradford County Memorial Park, Luthers Mills, PA.
