Patricia “Pat” J. Lynch Geiss, 93, of Sayre, PA, passed away on Monday, March 20, 2017, at home following a brief illness. She was born on June 29, 1923, in Sayre, PA, the daughter of the late Charles and Ruby (Dickson) Lynch. Patricia was a Mapper at George Jones and Associates in Towanda for over 35 years. During her career, she drew and labeled thousands of survey maps for the area, including many well know businesses. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and sewing. She spent a lot of time making dresses and baby doll clothing. Patricia was a member of the Eastern Star and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was predeceased by son George Geiss, sister Phyllis Hopkins, and brother Philip Jones. Patricia is survived by her sons Jeffery Geiss of Sayre, PA and Matthew Geiss of Kingston, PA. She is also survived by her grandchildren Mary Anne Geiss of Waverly, NY, Scott and Penny Geiss of East Smithfield, PA, Michael Geiss of Waverly, NY, and Tabatha Geiss and Robert Burger of Binghamton, NY, great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Emily Geiss, Jayden Geiss, Kade, Kameron, and Serenity Hall, and Tempest Burger, and several nieces and nephews. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 2pm at Tioga Point Cemetery, 803 North Main Street, Athens, PA. The family is being assisted by Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA. Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
