Obituary of Elizabeth D. Schrader

Elizabeth "Liz" D. Schrader, 64, of Sayre, PA, passed away following her brave fight against cancer with her family by her side on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at her home. She was born on June 25, 1952 in Sayre, PA, the daughter of the late Leon and Emanuella Kellogg. Liz was employed with Langan-Leo Pharmacy for years and when they sold to CVS Pharmacy, she remained for 45 years with them as a Pharmacy Technician. Due to health reasons, she was forced to take a leave of absence in January of this year. She loved her job and interacting with the public. She formed many lasting relationships and friendships, including one of her favorite customers, Derek, whom lovingly named her "CVS Grandma". She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Liz was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Sayre. One of her favorite things to do was decorate during the holidays, it didn't matter how insignificant the holiday, she could be seen sprucing up her home. While decorating, Liz could be seen swaying to the music of her favorite artist, Neil Diamond. She was also known for her collection of candles and anything to do with witches. She enjoyed spending time at the beach. Liz was a fanatic about exercising, participating in every Dave Smith Run that was held and even recently during her illness she continued being health conscience. She continued until recently riding her exercise bike 10 miles a day. Liz is survived by her husband of 43 years Harold D. Schrader at home, her children, Scott Schrader and Valerie Bennici of Towanda, PA, Melissa and Matthew Sklarkowski of Waverly, NY, and Melanie Schrader and Garrett Douglas of Sayre, PA, grandchildren Brett Schrader, Lizzie Bennett, Scott Schrader, Jr., Dorien Padgett, Adrianna Bennici, Rylee Grace Schrader, Zander Sklarkowski, Aidric Sklarkowski, and Jayden Schrader, sister and brother-in-law Elfrieda and Joseph Parmenter, and nephews Michael (Christy) Parmenter, Jim (Toni) Parmenter, and Christopher Parmenter.
