Obituary of John M. Mick

John Malcolm Mick, affectionately known by his family as “Bo”, 24, of Waverly, NY passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017. He was born on February 15, 1993 in Sayre, PA, the son of John T. and Dixie Guiles Mick. Bo loved spending his time with family and friends. He was currently employed in New Cumberland, WV with the United Carpenters and Joiners of America. He enjoyed dirt bike riding and fishing. Bo was very mechanically inclined and he enjoyed working on any vehicle and driving big trucks. He loved animals. He is predeceased by his maternal grandfather, John Guiles and paternal grandmother, Christy Ann Chapel. John is survived by his parents, Dixie and Mike Kautz and John Mick and Sandy Perry, sisters, Jessica Mick, Shauna Mick, Melanie Mick, brother and sister-in-law, Justin and Ashley Kautz, brother, Matthew Kautz, maternal grandmother, Jacquelyn Guiles, paternal grandfather, John Mick. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his best friend Joey Bruno and special extended family, the Brunos. Family and friends may call on Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 2pm-4pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, April 24, 2017 at 1pm with the Rev. Linda Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Chemung Cemetery, Chemung, NY immediately following the service.
