Andrea E. “Andy” Carpenter, 76, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at home with her family by her side. She was born on June 18, 1940 in Little Falls, NY, the daughter of the late James A. and Grace E. Chamberlain Papaleo. Andy loved watching her grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and golfing. Andy worked for 35 years in the O.R. at the Robert Packer Hospital. She was a long time member of Epiphany Parrish. She is predeceased by her husband, Ralph E. “Gene” Carpenter, son, Marque L. Carpenter, and niece, Suzie Gorski. Andrea is survived by her daughter Monique Carpenter of Sayre, PA, son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Linda Carpenter of Lowman, NY, grandchildren, Christian Kovacs, Tiffany Kovacs, Katlyn Kovacs, Liia Carpenter, Shane Carpenter, Juliette Carpenter, Jessica Carpenter, Kaitlin Carpenter, Keilen Carpenter, and Kylan Carpenter, great-grandchildren, Tristan Kovacs, Khloe Kovacs, Tyler Dixon, Dax Dixon, and Riley Carpenter. She is also survived by her siblings, Sharon Carlton, Grayce Dady, James Papaleo, and Lorie Gorski, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends and family may call on Saturday, April 29, 2017 from 10am-11am at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA.
