Obituary of Gerald P. Dolan

Gerald P. “Jerry” Dolan, 74, of Athens, PA, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at home with his family by his side.

He was born on September 30, 1942 in Sayre, PA, the son of the late Henry J. and Margaret A. (Palmer) Dolan.

Jerry was employed with the Ingersoll Rand, Athens for 42 years, and Keystone Sunoco for 10 years, before retiring. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. His first love was spending time with his family and friends, enjoying every moment of family life. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, hunting, and camping.

He is predeceased by his beloved granddaughter Mackenzie Dolan, sister, Sharon Shaffer, and brother, Henry E. Dolan.

Gerald is survived by his wife of 38 years, Jean Allen Dolan at home, son, Kyle Dolan and husband, Kiso Dolan-Perez, son and daughter-in-law, Derrick and Jennifer Dolan,  grandchildren, Nicholas and Carter Dolan, brother-in-law Robert Shaffer, nephews, Trevor Shaffer and Robbie (Lisa) Meyers, and his very special cousin, David Palmer.

At Jerry’s request, there will be no calling hours or services. The family is being assisted by Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Athens, PA.
