Obituary of Jack D. Shedd

Jack D. Shedd, 83, of South Waverly passed away at home on Tuesday, May 02, 2017 following an extended illness.

He was born on April 18, 1934 in Windsor, NY, the son of the late James and Ruth (Mayo) Shedd.

Jack was a Veteran of the US Army. He was employed with the IR, Athens as a Maintenance Supervisor and worked as a Carpenter for many different contracting companies, prior to retiring. He enjoyed hunting, bowling, golf, and watching the NY Mets and NY Giants. His most important project was working on his wife's never ending Honey-Do List. Jack loved spending time with his family.

He is predeceased by his brothers Jim, Doug, and Bill Shedd and sister Lila.

Jack is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Eileen at home, sons and daughters-in-law, Craig and MaryEllen Shedd of Athens, PA and Kevin and Susan Shedd of Williamsburg, VA, daughter Bethanne Chernosky of Sayre, PA, grandchildren Samantha, Zac, Erin, Nicholas, and Stephen, sister Jean and brother Henry Shedd.

Family and friends may call on Friday, May 5, 2017 from 1pm-2pm at the Sayre Christian Church, 427 South Keystone Avenue, Sayre, PA. Funeral services will follow at the Church at 2pm with Pastor Kevin Arensman officiating.

Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
