Obituary of Walter Joseph Pajewski

Walter J. Pajewski, 78, of Sayre, PA, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Sayre Healthcare Center. 

He was born on September 15, 1938 in Wilkes-Barre, PA, the son of the late Walter and Anna (Zubick) Paiewski. 

Walter is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Michaeleen "Mickey" and Lawrence Piech of Richford, NY, a nephew Lawrence Piech of Mooresville, NC, a niece, Kari Linger of Whitney Point, NY, and a great nephew, Dakota Linger. 

Walter attended Williamsport Technical Institute, Williamsport, PA, Temple University, Philadelphia, PA, and graduated from Penn State University.  He was employed by IBM, Owego, NY, where he started in the Mailroom and later became an Assembler prior to his retirement. 

Walter was an avid reader and enjoyed learning all he could about mathematics, aviation, world history and current events.  He enjoyed traveling once he retired, visiting the mid-west United States, England, Hawaii, and Alaska. 

A Christian Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 10 am at the Church of the Epiphany, 304 South Elmer Avenue, Sayre, PA with the Rev. Michael Drevitch officiating.

Burial will be in St. Casimirs Lithuanian Cemetery, Wilkes-Barre, PA.
