Obituary of Henry P. Nazak

Henry P. "Hank" Nazak, Sr., 72, of Athens, PA passed away on Friday, May 19, 2017 at the Athens Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born November 24, 1944 in Johnson City, NY the son of the late Andrew and Felice Prato Nazak. Hank retired from the US Navy and was a District Executive for the Boy Scouts for 5 years continuing on to work for the Scout Shop store in Elmira, NY for 16 years totaling 21 years of service to the Scouts (1991-2012). He also honorably accomplished his Eagle Scout. He loved woodworking, model railroading, working outside and helping others. He is predeceased by his parents and nephew David Nazak. He is survived by his beloved wife Irene of 45 years, at home; children Yvonne and Patrick Mizener of Brewerton, NY and Henry, Jr. "Hutch" and Tiffany Nazak of Pittsburgh, PA; grandchildren Jonathan, Timothy, Andrew and Nicholas Mizener, Ava and Isabel Nazak; Siblings Andrew, Sr. and Mary Nazak of Vestal, NY and Phillip and Terri Nazak of TN; Uncle Michael Kopco of Endwell, NY and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends and family may call Thursday, May 25, 2017 from 3-6pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street in Athens, PA. Funeral Services will follow at the funeral home with Rev. Linda L. Rogers officiating. Burial will be at sea by the US Navy.
