Obituary of Gloria Jean Wilson

Gloria Jean (Fritch) Wilson, of Sayre, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 24, 2017.

She was born on January 5, 1941 in Sayre, PA, the daughter of the late Frank and Geraldine (Shaffer) Fritch.

Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Church of the Epiphany and was a faithful Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Society. She was a Volunteer Worker for the Robert Packer Hospital. Her life revolved around her family, especially her brothers and sisters who meant everything to her.

A lifelong resident of the Valley area, Mrs. Wilson was predeceased by her husband, Donald Wilson on Nov. 18, 1994. She also was predeceased by her father Frank in Oct. 1985, mother Geraldine in May 1992, sister Donna in Mar. 1997, brothers, Richard in Jun. 2000 and Donald, brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Anne Fritch, and brother-in-law John Monchak in Feb. 2003.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by her son, Joseph Michael whom she will meet again in Heaven. She is also survived by her step-children, Andrew Wilson of Waverly, Holly Durizch of Sayre, and Heather Sandford of Clearwater, FL, brother, Patrick Fritch of Sayre, sister Teresa Monchak of Sayre, sister-in-law, Barbara Fritch of Waverly, and her nieces, nephews, cousins, and great-nieces, all of whom she loved.

Graveside services will be held for family and friends on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 10am at the Glenwood Cemetery, 113 Moore Street, Waverly, NY with the Rev. Andrew Hvozdovic officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the Lowery Funeral Home, Athens, PA.
