Uncle Vic, was a kind thoughtful family man! He always had an encouraging word! And was amazingly witty and funny! Even at 102 he would crack a joke! And his memory was amazing! I am the daughter of his baby Brother Robert Weiss! He was so proud of both his sons, Robert and Donald! He followed there athletic careers and sent copy's of news clippings to my father and then myself! Even though we lived so far away, I felt very close to him! Rest In Peace Uncle Vic I love you and you will be missed, your life enriched so many who knew you!

I was the head football coach and then athletic director at Vic's alma mater, Moravian College. I got to know Vic during my 4-year tenure as athletic director mainly through the yearly Hall of Fame event - Vic was a member of the College Hall of Fame. Two or three times, I received type-written letters from him which often included photo-copied articles about some of his athletic exploits.
A few months after I retired in 2015, I visited Vic at his home in Athens. For over two hours, we talked about his days growing up in Nazareth, PA; his years at Moravian College; his time in pro baseball; and his years as a teacher and a coach. He spoke with such pride of his sons Don and Bob. It was a very enjoyable day for both of us.
Vic Weiss was authentic to the core. He lived a great life. May he rest in peace.

What a wonderful man - husband, parent, friend. We are so grateful that he and the Weiss family came into our lives. He and Gertrude will be missed, but their kindness and character live on in their son and their descendants. Truly lives well lived. Love you all.

So sorry to hear of Coach Vic's passing. He was a true gentleman. He was my geography teacher and instilled in me the wonders of the world outside of the Valley. I've since visited many areas of the world
that he gave me my first glimpse of. I will be forever grateful for his teaching.

Dear Bob
Remembering today all the hours I spent with your Mother when I lived on Second Street. and also the many Bridge Games while living in Athens and then again after I moved back north in 2000. I will be thinking of you as you lay your Dad to rest this Sunday. I read that you are living in Charlotte, NC now. How do you like it there? Your Dad sure had a nice long life and glad he was able to stay in the lovely home he built. Glen passed away in 2012 and I have been living in Sayre, Pa in a Condo built by Warren Croft. My family is relocating to Memphis, Tn So I will move too. Hugs Joan

So sorry to hear of Vic's passing, but knew his time would have to come some day as the years mounted. Came to know him through my mother who was a good friend of his wife. As I came to know him I realize that he was all that is stated in his obituary, and then some. Never tired of visiting him whenever I came back to the valley. What a great life that man left. Rest in peace Vic.

I was saddened this morning to have seen that Mr. Weiss had recently passed away. My father always said that Vic was a great person and a wonderful coach as well as a friend. I got to know him first as my Social Studies teacher
in the old Athens High School on Maple Street. He ran a tight ship in the classroom and we learned easily with his methods. I got to know him on a personal basis when my brother,Dan, helped him build their new home in Athens. The sense of humor he displayed and loved to use while at the worksite was truly enjoyable to observe. Vic also used to bring the Oakes family wonderful sausage from his hometown. Mr. Weiss was a wonderful man who will be missed by all.

Vic was my baseball coach at Sayre High in 1949 and 1950. He was a shining example of what constitutes an ideal mentor and great American. I will never forget our association over the years and I am a better person for having known him. My condolences to the boys.
