Obituary of Patricia A. Williams
Patricia A. "Pat" Williams, 79, of Athens, PA, went home to her Lord on Friday, August 25, 2017.
She was born to the late Ray Luke and Hilda Hunter Streeter on September 29, 1937 in Powell, PA.
Pat was a 1955 graduate of Sayre High School. During her earlier years, she worked in the dietary department and as a Nurse's Aide at the Robert Packer Hospital. After high school, she married George Theron Allen in 1957 and were raising their three children at the time of his passing. During the years following George's death in 1969, Pat raised her children on her own, until she married Francis Williams in 1973 and welcomed his daughter into the family. She was a member of the Athens Wesleyan Church, where she enjoyed the task of sending cards for any occasion to all the parishioners. Over the years, Pat babysat several children, including three of her grandchildren. She was happiest being home with her family around her.
Pat was predeceased by her first husband, George Theron Allen (1969), her second husband, Francis Williams (2013), brothers, Charles Streeter, James Streeter, and Cecil Streeter, and son-in-law, Jim Coombs (2013).
Pat, "Mom," "Grammy," as she was called by those who loved her, is survived by Marilu (Tiger) White, Vikki Coombs, John Allen, and Dan (Lori) Allen. She was a grandmother to Paul Lane, Bryan Lane, Richard Lane, Brandon Lane, Ashley (Tom) Coombs Byrne, Emily Coombs, and Tyler (Alisha) Allen. The light of her eyes were her great-granddaughters Elexia Rae Sweet and Molly Ann Byrne, and recently welcomed her great-grandson, Carson Banks.
The family wants to sincerely thank the staff of the Bradford County Manor. The care and support they gave our Mom was exceptional. We also want to thank Dave Wardrop for his lifetime friendship, loyalty, and support to our Mom and Dad. Your friendship, Dave, is immeasurable.
Friends and family may call on Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA, from 11am-12pm. A funeral service will follow at the Funeral Home at 12pm.
