Obituary of Christopher A. Pack
Christopher A. “Chris” Pack, 24, of Del Ray Beach, FL, formerly of Sayre, PA, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 at home due to a sudden illness.
He was born on July 29, 1993 in Sayre, PA, the son of Mark and Brenda (Pinkowski) Pack.
Chris loved spending time with family and friends. He graduated from Athens High School in 2012, where he excelled in baseball and wrestling. During his high school years, Chris received the 2010 Athens Baseball George Levering Award, 2010-2011 Varsity Letter for Baseball and Wrestling, 2011 Baseball Player of the Year Award, and the 2011-2012 Richard Martin Outstanding Baseball Player Award. After high school, Chris attended Mansfield University and Onondaga Community College, obtaining an Associates’ Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant in 2015. He was an avid weight lifter. Chris enjoyed hanging out with his friends watching the Yankees and Pittsburgh Steelers.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Robert Pack and paternal grandmother, Betty Pack.
Christopher is survived by his parents, mother, Brenda Madigan of Athens, PA, and father, Mark Pack of Sayre, PA, special friend and loving sister, Nicole Morley and her husband Dusten of Derby, KS, brother, Jonathan Pack of Sayre, PA, maternal grandparents, Thomas and Joan Pinkowski of Sayre, PA, maternal aunts and uncles, Tim and Shelley Pinkowski of Murfreesboro, TN, Jennifer and Perry Mingos of Endicott, NY, Pete Pinkowski of Groton, NY, and Steve and Jessica Pinkowski of Ocala, FL, paternal aunts and uncles, Kathy and Mike Daniels of VA, and Jennifer Hicks of Sayre, PA, maternal cousins, Lauren Pinkowski, Justine and Andrew Franzen, Eric and Leigh Mingos, Gregory Pinkowski, Tommy Pinkowski, Jheri Weiss, and Tyler Pinkowski, and paternal cousins Maureen and Jeffrey Decker, Kristy Hicks, Katherine Hicks, Ethan Chacona, and Eric and Leann Sealander.
Friends and family may call on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 from 5pm to 8pm at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 225 South Main Street, Athens, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 9:30 at the Church of the Epiphany, 304 South Elmer Avenue, Sayre, PA with the Reverend Michael Drevitch officiating.
Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA.
