Lynda D. Myers, 70, of Sayre, PA, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Athens Heath and Rehabilitation Center, Athens, following an extended illness. She was born on March 21, 1947 of Sayre, PA, the daughter of the late Lyle and Martha (Eden) Vanderpoel. Lynda was employed with Heritage Nursing Home as a Nurses' Aide, prior to retiring. She loved spending time with her family, especially her great-grandson, Grimm. Lynda was an avid NASCAR fan, and her favorite drivers were always Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and Dale Jarrett. Racing was not her only enjoyment, she liked baseball and football, with her teams being the Yankees and Giants. She also enjoyed knitting and playing cards. She is predeceased by her daughter, Melissa Caudill. Lynda is survived by her son, Jeff Myers of Sayre, PA, daughter, Lauren Wells of Stanton, CA, and daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Pete Caudill of Pittsgrove, NJ, grandchildren, Brandon, Brian, Justin, Sasha, Austin, Kylie, Mel, Corey, and Mikayla, 8 great-grandchildren, and close friends, Jan Strope and Sam and Dale. Graveside services will be held on Friday, November 17, 2017 at 3pm at Tioga Point Cemetery, 803 North Main Street, Athens, PA with the Rev. James Donahoo officiating.
