I met Vicki about 20 years ago when I went to the nursing home to entertain with some friends. I played the piano and they sang, and in a short time, Vicki was sitting right up front with us and singing for all to enjoy. My group always looked forward to seeing her and when it became more difficult for her to join us, she sat in the audience and smiled as we performed. What a smile - the sweetest one ever. My friends and I go to nursing homes every month and sometimes it can be a little depressing for us to see the residents in their various states. Looking out into the audience and seeing Vicki's smile was always a game changer and we usually let feeling more upbeat than when we first arrived. I know her faith in God was strong and am comforted by the knowledge that we will sing together someday in heaven.
